Position: Commis
Responsibilities:
- Prepare basic ingredients and mise-en-place for the kitchen section as directed by senior chefs
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards for all food items
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation and kitchen equipment
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies to ensure freshness and quality
- Contribute to the smooth timing and flow of service in a busy kitchen
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position in a 4 or 5-star hotel
- Highly motivated, good team player, and passionate about culinary arts
- Fluency in English is an advantage
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure kitchen environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional culinary team
- Relevant culinary education or vocational training is preferred
