Position: Sous Chef

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, including Chef De Parties and Commis.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure quality and consistency.
• Help with menu planning, inventory control, and ordering.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef De Partie in a high volume, luxury kitchen.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
• Excellent leadership, training, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team and perform well under pressure.
• Good understanding of kitchen finance, including food cost and inventory.
• Formal culinary arts degree or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and HACCP standards.
