Position: Sous Chef
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including Chef De Parties and Commis.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality and consistency.
- Help with menu planning, inventory control, and ordering.
- Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef De Partie in a high volume, luxury kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Excellent leadership, training, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team and perform well under pressure.
- Good understanding of kitchen finance, including food cost and inventory.
- Formal culinary arts degree or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene and HACCP standards.
