Position: CDP Bakery and Pastry
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations in the bakery and pastry section to ensure high quality production and presentation
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative pastry menus and seasonal offerings
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards property wide
- Mentor and train junior pastry cooks to maintain consistent culinary excellence
- Monitor inventory levels and manage ingredient costs within the pastry department
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef or CDP specializing in Bakery and Pastry within a luxury hotel
- Strong technical skills in chocolate work, sugar craft, and international pastry techniques
- Deep understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen management software
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail in dessert presentation
- Leadership ability to manage a section and drive team performance
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
- Degree or certificate in Culinary Arts or Pastry is preferred
